Our work is shaped by curiosity, care, and ongoing learning. We build projects thoughtfully, often with limited resources, guided by conversations, lived experiences, and a desire to contribute positively to the world around us. We approach our work with humility, recognising that impact is not something that is perfected, but something that is developed through listening, reflection, and action.

The practice spans the intersections of cultural histories, pedagogy, activism, and the built form with a focus on challenging the western-centric perspective, falsely perpetuated as a global norm, through cultural expressions that centre an African perspective, both on the continent and diasporic.

April Psonis is a self taught artist based in Melbourne Australia. Herstyle has evolved organically over the years, however, she has always been intuitively drawn to the female form as a subject matter. During my pregnancy, she began painting in a more fluid style, inspired by how the female form moves and grows.
Elishia Jackson

Elishia is a visual artist based in the leafy eastern suburbs of Melbourne. She has drawn and painted for most of her life and has more recently ventured into the world of weaving and basket making. This has completely opened up my creativity and I’ve especially enjoyed merging my two practices by incorporating weaving into canvas.

New Zealand Born Artist Frances Greshoff resides in the beautiful eastern suburbs of Sydney. Lover of lines, silhouettes and the romantically minimal her artworks commonly feature abstract self-portraits, wine & women.

Hilton Owen is an Australian artist based in Castlemaine, Victoria. His paintings combine realist, abstract, and figurative elements to depict unique and evocative images of contemporary life, fashion, and imagination. Hilton paints to discover innovative ways to depict the human figure by working intuitively to transform what he sees around him into highly creative, colourful, and compelling artwork.
